AI generated mushroom books – life and death

After reading an original tweet and comment thread on [fancy_link title="reddit" link="https://www.reddit.com/r/mycology/comments/162m5vr/psa_warning_as_seen_on_social_media/" target="_blank" style="4" class="" download=""], I ran my own search on amazon and found several books that appeared to be written by AI. It was pretty easy to find a slew of books that appeared to be generated by Artificial Intelligence(AI). A few common traits that will indicate an AI written book, are ones written by unknown authors & the use of Latin names that just don't exist in today's taxonomy, are only some dead giveaways.

Thank you!

It was wonderful to see so many of you at Fungus Festival on Sunday. Fungus Festival 2023 was a huge success, bringing together fungi and the many people and organizations who love them. Fungi Festival was free and open to all. It only happened because over a 100 people gave so much of their time, passion and energy to it. It will be impossible to mention and thank everyone who helped but I will try! Fungus Festival was a nine month process, and several people were along for the full ride.
