NYMS Fungus Festival October 11, 2026 – save the date!
Call for presenters, volunteers and vendors
The New York Mycological Society is excited to bring to you our fourth Fungus Festival, set to take place at
Battery Park
Sunday, October 11, 2026 11-4PM
For the last several years, we have been generously supported by the Randall’s Island Park Alliance and have held incredibly diverse and wonderful experiences. This year we have been invited to collaborate with Battery Park. We are excited to start this new relationship and continue to bring mushroom education, workshops and fun activities to New Yorkers!
With this new location we anticipate another busy Festival. We need your help to organize and create this year’s festival! The festival will feature mushroom-themed presentations, displays, workshops, ID tables, and forays for New Yorkers to learn about the important role fungi play in our environment. It is impossible to bring this festival to life without you! Please consider applying as a presenter, vendor or volunteer.
Call for Presenters: Fill out this form to tell us about your presentation/workshop or display that you can share during the festival. We welcome creativity, and are open to new and unusual formats.
Vendor Interest Form: This year we welcome artists and vendors from our club. If you have a mushroom-themed product and creations please fill out this form.
Lastly, a special call for BIPOC members of NYMS. We want to continue to encourage our BIPOC members with a strong passion and practice for mycology to take up space at the festival. If you need presentation feedback, research, editing, or other forms of support, please let us know!
