As an all-volunteer club we rely on our members to get things done. Extra special thanks to Maren Fossi, Aki Fujiyoshi, and David Hutchinson for stepping up to take over important positions in our club this month!
Maren Fossi will be organizing in-person lectures and workshops, taking over from Tom Bigelow. A member since 2023, Maren is a budding ecologist and lover of all things outdoors. She is interested in fungal development and diversity, fostering engagement with the natural world and community-led action, and eco-art plus some light foraging.
Aki Fujiyoshi will be our newsletter editor, taking over from Ethan Crenson. She’s been a member since 2022. and is a longtime mushroom fan and a recent student of all things fungi.
David Hutchinson will be the club’s first official recorder, a position that has been informally held by Ethan Crenson. David is a fine art digital printer working with photographers and other creative professionals to produce exhibition prints for galleries and museums. He’s been fascinated by fungi ever since encountering a very lurid Calostoma cinnabarium fruiting in a forest many years ago and just needed to learn more.
