April 23, 2025Fungus Festival 2025 is set to take place at
Randall’s Island Park
Sunday, October 5, 2025
from 11 AM to 3 PM
This festival is once again made possible through the generous support of Randall’s Island Park Alliance.
In our first year – despite the rainy forecast – the festival coalesced 1,000 visitors, sold nearly 600 festival T-shirts. In 2023 we had many more attendees who enjoyed hands-on art-making, cultivation workshops, forays and fungi identification table. We organized over 30 events and displays with the help of partners, presenters, and volunteers, garnered local and international attention.
With the city’s continuous interest in fungi, we look forward to continue this tradition. We need your help to organize this year’s festival! The festival will feature mushroom-themed displays, workshops, talks, ID tables, hands-on activities and forays, for New Yorkers to learn about the important role fungi play in our environment. If you are interested in contributing to the festival, please consider applying as a presenter, vendor or volunteer.
Call for Presenters:This form is for those who are interested in teaching or preparing a display. We welcome creativity, and are open to new and unusual formats.
