2025 summer and fall walk dates have been announced

Since 2001, NEMF, the North East Mycological Federation foray has awarded Homola Scholarships to applicants interested in furthering their study of fungi through foray attendance. The Homola Scholarship was created in 2000 in honor of Dr. Richard Homola.
NEMF has a limited number of scholarships available for attendees of the annual foray. It requires a letter of application – details can be found here.
Letters of application are due by the end of June during the year of the foray. This year’s foray takes place in Ithaca, New York State. The award covers accommodation and attendance at the conference but not travel.
We encourage NYMS members who are eager to take their interest in mycology to the next level to apply for this great scholarship!
