Calling All Mushroom Enthusiasts! Help Us Choose Our Next Website Photo!

Greetings fellow fungi lovers,

We’re excited to announce a fun and engaging way to showcase the stunning mushroom discoveries made by our members! As you know, our mushroom club is built on a shared love for finding and appreciating the fascinating world of fungi. Now, we want to take that appreciation a step further by letting YOU help us choose the next featured photo for our website!

We know many of you have been capturing incredible mushroom sightings through iNaturalist, and we want to highlight those moments. To do that, we’re asking members to submit links to their iNaturalist observation photos. These photos will be used as part of an upcoming poll, where the entire club can vote on their favorite image to grace the main page of our website.

Here’s how, as a NYMS member, you can participate:

1. Find Your Favorite iNaturalist Mushroom Photo** – Log in to iNaturalist, browse through your observations, and pick a photo you think deserves to be showcased on our site.
2. Submit Your Link – Once you’ve chosen the perfect shot, simply send us the link to your observation. You can submit your photo by submitting the form below.
3. Vote and Share – Stay tuned for the upcoming poll! We’ll be showcasing the top photo submissions and letting the community vote for their favorite.

This is a great opportunity to not only share your best fungi finds but also help shape the visual identity of our club. Whether it’s a rare species, an artistic composition, or just a mushroom that makes you smile, we want to see it
