The Eagle Hill Institute is a renowned educational organization located in Steuben, Maine, that offers a diverse range of programs and events all centered on the natural world. Their week-long seminars, some of them focusing on fungi have been popular with NYMS members for a long time.
This year they are offering the following fungi-themed seminars:
Jun 30 – Jul 6 Introduction to the Study of Lichens, taught by Fred Olday
Jul 28 – Aug 3 Identification Skills for the New Mushroomer: Foraging for Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms taught by Greg Marley and Michaeline Mulvey
Sep 29 – Oct 2 (3 days) Fall Mushrooms in a Changing Climate taught by David Porter and Michaeline Mulvey
The Institute is located near the Maine coast next to a network of trails. It’s a wonderful way of spending time in nature with other fungiphiles.
