Check out the new MycoQuebec website!

The MycoQuebec website has always been the best resource about North Eastern fungi, but it just got a whole lot better.

Now ad-free it covers over 3,500 species with almost 25,000 images, many of them of microscopic features. The new site also includes interactive keys and a great quiz feature with which to improve your mushroom knowledge.

NYMS member Joan Heyding from the Ottawa club has kindly taken us through the new site at a recent ID meeting. The video can be viewed here.

The site is in French but most browsers have an auto-translate feature. Joan covers this in her introduction.

We also recommend the La Fonge app which can be bought for just over $20 on Android and iPhone app stores. It’s similarly comprehensive but not quite as up to date.
