Flower Power is the groovy new exhibition at the New York Botanical Garden channeling the optimism of the ’60s and joyously celebrating the symbolism of flowers as icons of peace and love. NYMS will be participating in their special ticketed events on the evenings of Saturday 5/30, 6/13, 6/20, and 6/27 where 7:30-9PM we will have an ID table of fungi on display (led by Wilton Rao, Morgan Yacullo, Maren Fossi, Alexa Kirlan, Thursday Azul Silverman, and Simon Gurvets) and myco-art for sale by members including Phyllis Ma, Elan Trybuch, Riitta Ikonen, and more!
The grand finale 9-10PM each evening will be a mesmerizing liquid light show! Each night features a headlining band on stage whose work brings a fresh, modern edge to the iconic and free-spirited sound of the late ’60s—including Ghost Funk Orchestra, Habibi, Evolfo, and Woods.
Explore the Flower Power exhibition across Garden grounds and inside the Haupt Conservatory, browse art and goods at our Makers Market, challenge friends to classic lawn games, and tap into your creativity while making a friendship bracelet. Grab a bite from a lineup of delicious picnic-ready food options, and celebrate peace and love during a night filled with mushrooms and music, art and flowers!
