Leo is a young citizen mycologist and NYMS member, who has recently pivoted from an IT career to pursuing his passion for cultivation, biomaterials, bioremediation and mycelial networks.
To further his passion and to learn how to apply them in the real world he is participating in a 7-day enrichment course at Fungi Academy in Guatemala at their mushroom farm in the rain forest this October. The week-long stay at their campus has a concentration in Mushroom Cultivation and will allow him uninterrupted time to learn, forage, hike in contemplation, make medicines, learn mushroom cultivation technologies, and connect to their extensive network.
