Free Fungal Foray + Films for Climate Week NYC – 9/23 in Central Park!

We are delighted to be back at the marvelous Staten Island Museum on Sat. 9/27, 2-4pm for a full day of offerings to celebrate Breakdown: The Promise of Decay — their current exhibition featuring the fungal and two NYMS member artists!
Join NYMS for a one hour walk, led by members Victoria Bayevskiy and Wilton Rao, around the verdant museum grounds to observe, identify and document the surprising diversity of fungi hidden in plain sight all around us. Magnifying hand lenses will be loaned to attendees. Beginners and all ages 7+ are welcome!
Walk 1: 2pm – 3pm
Walk 2: 3pm – 4pm
Please meet in the museum lobby 15 minutes before each walk. Free with museum admission. RSVP here!
