SATURDAY APRIL 13 2024 @ 10 AM
500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232
The NYC Nature Drawing Club, founded by NYMS members Margot Dorn and Lindsay Robbins. This is an event they will hosting in April.
From the organizers:
We will be meeting at the main entrance of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY 11232 on Saturday April 13th at 10:00 am.
What better place to witness Spring’s rebirth? We will gather to draw landscapes and birds, or whatever you wish. Did you know that Green-Wood is an important stopping place for birds migrating to their summer mating grounds? Green-Wood was also designed to have lovely views and it is full of amazing old trees. Bring your binoculars, warm clothes, something to sit on, and your drawing materials. Free and all ages welcome.
We are sure to work up an appetite so we will be reconvening at Chilo’s Mexican Restaurant (close to the main entrance) at 12:00 for food and drinks. We hope you can make it. Any questions, please send us an email.
Green-Wood Cemetery is a living cemetery, urban oasis and national historic landmark site. The main entrance (gothic arch) where we will meet at 10am is located 25th Street and 5th Avenue. Dogs and pets are not permitted at Green-Wood. Admission is always free. Closest MTA subway is the R Train, 25th St stop.
