NYMS member and Fungus Festival organizer Sneha Ganguly is hosting a myco-materials class, Mushroom Tea & Dyeing at Fou Gallery’s new space in Manhattan by Union Square. Come learn about fungal pigments, natural dyeing, and mordants. The class will start with tea, tasting a variety of medicinal and wild mushrooms. It will then explore themes of parasitism in mycology while tying and dyeing silk swatches golden with Cordyceps mushrooms. The workshop will be offered twice: once on a weeknight, Thursday, November 21, 6:30 – 8:30 PM, and again on Saturday, November 23, 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
