This is an event by Bronx River Foodway, New York City’s forageable park and a NYMS partner. They are inviting the community to join them for a special gathering of foragers aimed at building community and exploring how they can collaborate to serve the land and our communities together. As foragers, they understand the importance of coming together to connect, share ideas, and work towards common goals that benefit both the environment and our local communities. This gathering will provide an opportunity for the community to unite, discuss, and explore ways to enhance their collective impact as foragers.
Whether you’re a seasoned forager or just beginning to explore the wonders of wild edibles, they welcome you to join them. Together, they want to:
– Build a supportive and inclusive community of foragers
– Explore ways to responsibly steward the land and its resources
– Identify opportunities for collaborative projects that benefit both nature and society
– Share knowledge, skills, and resources to empower each other in our foraging journeys
– Cultivate a deeper connection with the natural world and our local ecosystems
Please RSVP here to confirm your attendance, and feel free to bring any foraging-related items or resources you’d like to share with the group.
*Note this event is a part of their March 30th Spring Equinox event hosted by Concrete Friends and Bronx River Foodway Team.
