Next Monday’s week’s ID meeting will be happening online.
This week, the focus will be on slime molds. Elan Trybuch will give brief introduction to the topic and then clear the stage for people to share their own observations – unidentified, unusual, tentatively identified – for discussion. So come prepared!
Come share what you’ve found, see what others have found or to ask more general questions about anything fungi-related.
We encourage you to use iNaturalist – it’s a great way to keep track of your finds, and you will be able to participate in these two NYMS projects:
If you’re not using iNaturalist, try to have images on your computer that you can share.
Either way, it’s important to document your finds with clear pictures, showing details of cap, underside and stem, and to note the habitat. When possible, make a spore print.
