Celebrate Myco-Pride with NYMS on Saturday 7/26 for our inaugural collaboration with the Alice Austen House in Staten Island, the home of pioneering 19th century female photographer Alice Austen. The AAH is an LGBTQ+ landmark, the only museum devoted to a woman photographer in the United States, and one of very few preserved artist’s homes and studios in NYC. This event accompanies the AAH current exhibition on Jasmine Murrell, an artist working with BIPOC farmers and botanists to create living sculptures of earthen plasters, medicinal plants, and mycelia.
Join NYMS amateur mycologists in the garden 1-3PM (myco mini foray 1-2PM)! Event is pay-what-you-wish. RSVP here.

(Original event rescheduled from 6/14 due to rain.)
