We are excited to be back at the New York Botanical Garden for their Fall Forest Weekend, Sat. 11/1 and Sun. 11/2 (11am-3pm). If you’re missing the fun of Fungus Fest, here’s another chance to enjoy guided nature tours, educational demonstrations and much more. NYMS member Journei Bimwala will be offering samples of healthy and restorative teas created from locally foraged herbs and mushrooms. Wilton Rao, Victoria Bayevskiy, Maren Fossi, Alexa Kirlan, Maya Han, and Roman Kosoy will be (co)leading myco-mini walks and mushroom ID tables on both days. Myco mini-walks are 30 min., handlenses provided, registration required under “Guided Tours” here:
- Sat 11/1: 11:30 a.m. & 2 p.m.
- Sun 11/2: 12 & 2:30 p.m.
Don’t miss this weekend-long celebration of fall foliage in NYBG’s 50-acre Thain Family Forest — NYC’s largest remaining old-growth woodland! Family-friendly and all are welcome. Info and tickets here. (Please note that admission to this event is not included with NYMS membership and it requires a separate ticket purchase via the NYBG link above.)
