DESCRIPTION:Please note: There is limited capacity for this event. Tickets are required. A notification will be sent via email when ticketing begins. \nJoin us for a program called Fungi in the Field at Storm King Art Center\, Orange County\, NY – Saturday\, September 19th.  \nHike through the fields\, forest\, and sculptures of Storm King in search of mushrooms\, guided by experts from the New York Mycological Society. Then channel your observations in a hands-on creative workshop. Registration required. NYMS will have a limited number of free passes for members. \nBring paper bags for collecting specimens\, a hand lens\, a knife\, a tackle box (optional)\, water and a lunch. The club is fairly all-weather\, but if the forecast takes a particularly nasty turn\, we will cancel this walk. Please monitor your email in case we do. \nWe highly recommend using the iNaturalist app (IOS\, Android) to document the fungi you find. Find out how to use it here. \nIf you’ve never been on a mushroom walk with us before\, here is what to expect. \nTicks and mosquitos are common in this location so you will want to be prepared for those as well. \nThe event details are only viewable to active members who are logged into the website.
