DESCRIPTION:Ring in the new year with a winter walk. Bring your new self. Join us for our annual New Years Day walk in Central Park Wednesday\, January 1st!  \nLight rain is in the forecast\, but the temperatures should be mild. (Please monitor your email in case the forecast changes and we have to cancel the walk.) Bring paper bags for collecting specimens\, a hand lens\, a knife\, a tackle box (optional). It’s always a good idea to bring water\, but lunch is optional for this walk because knishes and pretzels are easy to forage nearby. Dress for the weather. \nWe highly recommend using the iNaturalist app (IOS\, Android) to document the fungi you find.
