DESCRIPTION:Join us for our online ID meeting on Monday October 2. Come share what you’ve found\, see what others have found or to ask more general questions about anything fungi-related. \nWe encourage you to use iNaturalist – it’s a great way to keep track of your finds\, and you will be able to participate in these two NYMS projects: \n\nFungi of New York City.\nFungi Beyond New York City.\nSlime Molds of New York City.\n\nIf you’re not using iNaturalist\, try to have images on your computer that you can share. \nEither way\, it’s important to document your finds with clear pictures\, showing details of cap\, underside and stem\, and to note the habitat. When possible\, make a spore print. \nAll members are welcome to join – especially new members! We will try to make it as easy as possible for everyone and are eager to assist\, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our scheduled walk in Clove Lakes Park\, Staten Island this Sunday! \nThis walk was originally scheduled for Saturday October 7 but because of significant rain in the forecast we’re moving it to Sunday. \nWe’ve seen a lot of rain lately and this will have hopefully translated into healthy flushes of fall fungi. \nBring water and lunch. \nIf you’ve never been on a mushroom walk with us before\, here is what to expect. We highly recommend using iNaturalist app to document the fungi you find.
