SUMMARY:Scheduled walk: Stony Brook NY\, Sunday August 20
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our annual walk at the Stony Book trail in Harriman State Park this weekend! We usually find plenty of gilled fungi\, boletes\, and others in good years. Make sure to bring plenty of water\, sun protection\, and a lunch. This walk\, unlike our city park walks\, is over uneven and rugged terrain. Make sure to wear suitable shoes/boots and bring a walking stick if you feel shaky or unstable on trails. This walk is away from public transportation\, so if you plan on leaving before the walk ends\, make sure you have arranged your own transport. \nLastly\, though this rain has brought forth the fungi\, it’s also brought forth the bugs! It’s advisable to come prepared with some kind of bug spray to fend off the many mosquitoes that have popped up. \nGetting there\nThe event details are only viewable to active members who are logged into the website.
