SUMMARY:NYMS pop-up walk\, Seton Falls Park\, Bronx Sunday\, May 11th
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a walk in Seton Falls Park\, Bronx this Sunday\, May 11th. \nOur first visit to Seton Falls Park was in winter of 2019. There have been only four walks there in May\, but many new-to-city species have been discovered in the park during that month. Lachnum pygmaeum\, Orbilia sarraziniana\, Hydropus sp.\, Hesperomyces harmoniae\, and Vexillomyces atrovirens were all firsts for the city from Seton Falls Park on a May walk. It is also one of only two locations in New York City where Ganoderma tsugae can be found. \nBring paper bags for collecting specimens\, a hand lens\, a knife\, a tackle box (optional)\, water and a lunch. The club is fairly all-weather\, but if the forecast takes a particularly nasty turn\, we will cancel this walk. Please monitor your email in case we do. \nWe highly recommend using the iNaturalist app (IOS\, Android) to document the fungi you find.
