DESCRIPTION:We will be collecting mushrooms for our display at the event\, Magic Mushroom Weekend at the New York Botanical Garden. Come along if you are free this Friday\, September 13th. We normally don’t schedule pop up walks on weekdays\, but we hope some of you can get away because we need an impressive number of mushrooms to show on our display tables for this special event. \nBring water and lunch. \nWe want to collect fresh\, beautiful specimens for our mushroom display at NYBG so bring lots of paper bags or a large tackle box and a knife and hand lens. \nIf you’ve never been on a mushroom walk with us before\, here is what to expect. \nThe event details are only viewable to active members who are logged into the website. Unfortunately\, the venue was chosen just a few weeks ago and we didn’t have the time to get a permit to pick mushrooms as a group. \nPlease bring plenty of good food and drink (wine\, etc. if you want) to share with everyone. COMA will be providing plastic forks and knives\, plates\, cups\, napkins\, tablecloths\, etc. Do bring serving utensils for your dish. Pelton Pond has tables\, both sheltered and outdoors.
