DESCRIPTION:This walk marks the beginning of our official walk season and honors Gary Lincoff\, who traversed Central Park countless times\, often with the club in tow\, spreading knowledge\, stories and laughter wherever he went. \nFind out more about Gary Lincoff here. \nParks are relatively dry despite the very recent rain and we don’t expect to see fungi in any numbers. \nBring water and lunch. There will be mosquitoes and possibly ticks\, so make sure to protect yourself. \nIf you’ve never been on a mushroom walk with us before\, here is what to expect. We highly recommend using the iNaturalist app (IOS\, Android) to document the fungi you find. Find out how to use it here. \nThis is not a foraging walk. Please\, no baskets or other collecting containers. \nThe event details are only viewable to active members who are logged into the website.
