DESCRIPTION:Join the Urban Park Rangers on this community science project where they count and identify wildlife living in this park and along the coast\, and see how other naturalists conduct scientific research for our local wildlife. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a walk in Alley Pond Park\, Queens this Sunday\, June 9th. If we are blessed with some decent rain this week we may see some summer mycorrhizals on Sunday. Fingers crossed. \nBring paper bags for collecting specimens\, a hand lens\, a knife\, a tackle box (optional)\, water and a lunch. Be aware that as the weather gets warmer\, ticks and mosquitos will be a common nuisance in most of our parks. Please make sure to protect yourself. \nWe highly recommend using the iNaturalist app (IOS\, Android) to document the fungi you find.
