DESCRIPTION:Our next ID meeting will take place on Monday\, August 31\, from 6:30 to 8:30 at Sigrid Jakob’s apartment in South Slope/Greenwood Heights. \nAttendees can of course arrive later and leave earlier. \nPlease bring any interesting specimens regardless of whether you have identified them or not\, and check out what others have found. \nThe address is: \n259 21st Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) Apartment 3J\, Brooklyn. Buzz\, take the elevator to the third floor and make a right. \nClosest public transit is the Prospect Avenue station on the R train. The B63 bus stops at the bottom of the block. \nThere will be microscopes and lots of mushroom books. In person ID meetings are a great way of developing your hands-on identification skills and dipping your toes into microscopy! \nWe continue to encourage members to use iNaturalist – it’s a great way to keep track of your finds\, and you will be able to participate in these NYMS projects: \n\nFungi of New York City\nFungi Beyond New York City\nSlime Molds of New York City.\n\nWe look forward to seeing you on Monday!
