NYMS Forest Park Walk 1/13/13

Fungi NewsNYMS – Forest Park – January 13, 2013
30+ people attending / 60+ mushrooms seen
Perhaps because of the mild weather so far this winter and the all-day rain this past week, we found more mushrooms on this winter walk than on any other to date.

[We have had 10 NYMS winter (winter solstice to spring equinox) walks between Dec. 26, 2010 and Jan. 13, 2013, visiting parks in Manhattan (Central Park, Inwood Hill), the Bronx (Van Cortlandt Park), Brooklyn (Prospect Park), and Queens (Forest Park).
